Ecuador
People aren't kidding when they say Ecuador is a birder's paradise. With diverse ecosystems of the Amazon, the Andes, the Pacific Coast, and the Galapagos Islands all packed in one, Ecuador is like a triple-pack of Kinder Surprise Eggs, but better. Jake Glassman and I spent two weeks traveling up and down the country's lush and unique forests. We started in the quaint little village of Cosanga, got lost in Quito and the vast cloud forests west of the urban sprawl, and starved while traversing the mountains south of Loha, all the while stopping off whatever in between that caught our attention.
